Welcome to our cabin! Our home is a cozy and comfortable retreat on a small New Hampshire lake - the perfect getaway in any season. Spend fall days hiking to the top of a local mountain to view the foliage, visiting an apple orchard to pick some fresh fruit or just paddling around on the lake in one of our kayaks to experience the fabulous fall colors. Stop at a farmers market or farm stand and pick up all the fixings to make dinner in the fully stocked kitchen that over looks the lake. After dinner relax by the indoor fireplace or build a campfire and enjoy some freshly roasted s'mores. In the winter strap on a pair of our snow shoes and go for a walk or jump in our snow tube and slide down our hill onto the lake. If you are a downhill skier, you will find three local ski hills about 15 miles from the house. Relaxing by the fire playing games or sipping a cocktail is the perfect way to end any winter day. Spring days are longer, the fish are biting and it is a great time to enjoy a paddle or a local hike. There are 37 kilometers of cross country skiing and snow shoeing trails in Eastman as well as skating and sledding options. Mt. Sunapee is 20 minutes away for downhill enthusiasts. Relax at the water's edge in our adirondack chairs and take in the natural splendor. Use our kayaks, standup paddle board or canoe to explore, fish or paddle over to North Beach or Jumpy Rock. Swim right from our shore or at any of the Eastman beaches. After all that, watch the sun slowly set across the lake. The lake is two miles long and a half-mile wide with six sandy beaches all equipped with swimming rafts and small boat storage. Our private campsite is situated on the edge of a beautifully manicured open field with access to wooded trails. Solitude is the ideal spot for a retreat. Enjoy relaxation, meandering along our trails or going on a hike at nearby mountains (Mt Cardigan, Ragged Mountain, Mt Kearsarge). One mile from the camp you can bike or walk the Rails for Trails, which has 60+ miles of groomed trails with opportunity for food and essentials along the way. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry! Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. Our great room doubles as the third bedroom. This is my favorite room in the house and connects directly to the screened porch. I decided to set it up this way so everyone could enjoy this room. It has 2 couches, one pullout for sleeping. A wooded cathedral-style ceiling with two skylights and a ceiling fan. A flat screen TV , with Direct TV. An 8 foot sliding glass door that leads you to the screened porch. Views of the brook while seated on the couch are an added pleasure. A cozy sunken living room is right off the kitchen.This room boasts another wooded cathedral ceiling with a ceiling fan. Another 8 foot sliding glass door just steps to the brook. A flat screened TV that includes Direct TV, Netflix and a futon that sleeps two. Bedrooms: The first bedroom is off the kitchen and has a queen bed facing a 6ft glass slider with your own private deck and entrance. It also has a nice view of the forest and brook. The second bedroom is the master, which is down the hall past the bathroom. This room is spacious with a queen bed and a trundle bed that sleeps two.This room has a private entrance too.
